1. Anonymity by Default

You can use PasteRead completely anonymously. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or reveal your PII (Personally Identifiable Information) to publish or view content.

2. Cryptographic Security

We utilize industry-standard AES-256 Encryption and advanced cryptographic hashing protocols. This high-level security layer is specifically applied to:

• Private & Unlisted Pastes: Content is encrypted at rest within our database infrastructure.
• Sensitive Account Data: Email addresses and passwords are strictly hashed and scrambled using distinct salts.

Our security architecture is designed to prevent unauthorized access. Because the decryption keys for private content are tied to the unique URL tokens generated client-side, we are technically unable to decrypt or inspect your raw private data from the server side.

3. Total Control & Deletion

You have full control over the lifespan of your data:

• Burn After Reading: Select this option to have your data permanently purged from our servers immediately after the initial decryption/view.
• TTL (Time-To-Live) Expiration: Configure automated data destruction policies (e.g., 1 hour, 1 day).
• Manual Revocation: Utilize the cryptographic "Delete Key" provided at creation to instantly revoke access and wipe data.

4. No Third Parties

We operate independently. We do not share, sell, trade, or rent your content to advertisers, data brokers, or any third-party organizations.
